RentHack is a web-based tool that helps users analyze multifamily real estate investment properties (2–4 unit residential properties). The Service provides financial projections, analysis metrics, and educational information based on data and assumptions entered by users.
RentHack is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, real estate broker, mortgage lender, attorney, or tax advisor. All content, analysis, projections, and outputs generated by the Service are provided solely for informational and educational purposes. Nothing in the Service constitutes or should be construed as:
Real estate investment involves significant risk, including the possible loss of principal. All projections are estimates based on assumptions you provide and may not reflect actual future results. You should consult qualified financial, legal, and tax professionals before making any investment decision.
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
You retain ownership of all deal data, notes, and other content you input into the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell Your Data to third parties. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content (excluding Your Data), is owned by RentHack and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RENTHACK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT PROJECTIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Cook County, Illinois. You waive the right to participate in any class action or class-wide arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
